LOL, yeah that's all that matters.

Damn, a V662 eh? Thats the same as Kristine has, its actually a rebadged Fujitsu Siemens Amlio a very good laptop, I am trying to buy a broken one right now for parts to fix Kristines one, needs a new keyboard. Optima was an Aussie computer company from way back, rebaged a lot of different laptops, and went from making decent PC's to selling absolute crap before going bust. They caused my PC company much stress during the late 90's and early 2000's.

Jiggy jiggy. You have the original drivers disc for the V662?

This is all up to date, but a copy would be handy in case I lose the 3macrium backup images I made today  Hiding

King Fago left a 1tb usb drive here the other week, so I pulled the 80gig sata outer the V662 just before and tried the 1tb

I wasn't sure this was late model enough to take such a big drive. Bloody thing works fine. (made a 80gig c:/ partition)

Now there is heaps of room for more 8 bit pixel girl videos.  Davodick

No sorry no discs, we bought the laptop used from a hamfest years ago, just do a full disk image onto one of your other drives. I use that Hirems CD and Acronis backup, works well. I used Ghost for years until Symantec fucked it up. Still have my old copy I bought years ago, just doesnt have USB support.

Hahahahaa  You can't stir me up you little faggoooo!    Tears

Yeah nice Chopper,  you are correct in what you say.  They are a great little laptop that not many people know about and is why i grabbed it.  Its because general people all stick to the BIG major production brands and what they are told to buy..  They missing out on this good gear and paying more to do so.  If it had a serial com port there is no way i would have parted with it!    Thumbsup

Far out cooter,  1TB ?  That laptop will be a masterpiece now!    Bahahaahhaa        Aus_flag

Scored another Optima laptop for parts for Mrs Chopper. I got the damn thing working and made 1 laptop out of 2. Mrs Chopper very happy, makes me happy too then. Bargain, $10 plus a drive to Brissie. That new Clem 7 tunnel is cool!  Smoking Lovelinux

Thats jiggy.

I've been using this optima most of the time. I made my recent anti-microchip video on it.

This 2ghz dual beat my 2.6ghz dual with the super_pi tester by 5 seconds. (but the PC wins with PC Wizards test)

Bugger that tunnel. I went through it accidentally the other night and will probably have to pay a fricking toll.

How do people with no online $$ pay that shit, ya know?

Naa I dont know how they charge for the toll, Id assume they get your rego number. You can pay online at govia. I got one of those dongles in my car that goes beep when I go on a toll road. I think it cost me $30 with $30 of credit on it. Got it to got to the sunny coast from time to time.  Smoking
