check the deleted door handles.......

lol, no rear doors either.

i guess the back end on the sedans being so short makes the coupe effect work.

ssshhh, the fats on the back make no sense, as they are front wheel drive.

shit, back on topic. (my bad for drifting off)

so, in your man bubble  Confusedeven:, what frequencies did you tune into?

yer i thought they were 4door - why bubble lovers why ????? Debilos-1

lots of frequencies available for listening to on the scanner and my new antenna (the reason I need a bayonet fitting)
from taxi and buses to the crew recording the gold coast news

Got some important car race frequencies - race control, safety cars, tv camera crews
unfortunately after extensive efforts and hours of scanning from 400mhz and upwards to 525 I couldnt hear any race teams at all          Dontknow

The CAMS (confederation of australian motorsport) rules say all communications between pits and cars must be transmitted in analogue signal without delay and in english
so the world can tune in and listen to your secret, and often dirty tactics............. or something to that affect.... Grandpa

Ahhh memories.

Mrs Chopper and I lived in View Ave the year of the very first Indy.

As I lived in "the precinct" my boss said for the week I was to "look after" all the gear that I was supposed to look after but just within the precinct as it was damn near impossible to get my work truck out of our front gate.

I found the uhf uplink from the cameras and stuff, the raw feed.

I tuned an old modified TV to the frequency and watched that out on our front deck as it was way more interesting than the sanitised version that went to air.

They were still setting up when I first found the frequency and I saw them testing the zoom on the back straight by zooming into the girls on the beach. I went and had a look at the zoom, it said 52x zoom on it.  Blonde

We could hear all the comments to and from the camera crews  Happy3

It was great having the cars zoom past our front gate and seeing all the stuff we werent supposed to see.

I still have an unused "residents pack" from that event too.

The following year I scored primo tickets for mrs Chopper and I and even got the royal treatment being picked up in a tinny and taken to an airconditioned hut filled with TVs and other gear and treated to a free BBQ as well. We also got gold seating and tried to watch from those seats but it was a waste of time, more fun watching the wall of TVs from the trackside hut.  Tears

A couple of piccies of those days, not that I remember much about them.  Smoking

I was rudely awoken early one Saturday morning with all kinds of weird arse noises and yellow flashing lights, I thought a UFO must have landed.  Tears

I looked out the front to see some buggers blocking my driveway.

A piccie you wont see again anytime soon, Nascars going past my front yard.

This Yank crashed and I went to talk to him, but he was a bit cranky and didnt want to talk to a drunken local.  Thumbsup

plenty of room in the upload folder.

either your isp speed is slow, or the images
are a big large in size

last image size was 2000 wide by 3552 high

no computer screens do that

i resized your last pic

to fit on the pages here i usually recommend a max width of 600

height doesn't matter much

the two bathurst topics were merged to make it easier for folks
and make the world smell better for apes

i is monkey  Munky2
humans piss me off.
