Busy busy old Chopper

Old Choppers been busy in the Skunkworks again after yet another HAMFEST.

Been fixin' one of these [Image: R1200a.jpg]

And one of these [Image: FSM530.jpg]

to fix the Motorola thing in the first photo.

Consequensly I now have a headache.

Once I fix the first thing, I can fix the second, then use it to fix radios and linear amps and the like.

Ahh what fun.

Well, I have the cluttered desk, I guess that's a start!

I guess I should have said what those things are,

first one is a Systron Donner / Motorola Service Monitor R1200a, goes from 100 Hertz to 1 Giga Hertz in 100 hertz steps, and AM / FM and combined modulation, fully calibrated from +13dBm to -128dBm. Multi mode receiver, SSB / FM / AM, deviation meter, frequency meter etc, for fixin' radios and stuff.

Second doodad is a "Funkmessplatz Schlumberger FSM 530" in English its a "Precision VHF Frequency Synthesizer" goes from 20MHz to 500MHz AM, FM Phase and Pulse modulation etc, its pretty cool tech built in Germany to military spec.

Both items date from around 1978!

Yep old but still pretty damn useful.

I am making 1 R1200a out of the 2 and a half I have now, and one Funkmessplatz out of 2.
