Barter commission from DaVo is in use...
72 watts to 8 watts.
Yeah during the day, but bright!
Bit pissed right now to do a night update, but cheers DaVo.

Rodger that
The old choock was worried if I go in and start adding weird lights on my own, the old cheese would be a bit pissed feeling his kitchen was being invaded.
I think the 8 watt vs 72 watt sign did the trick. He turned the thing on and later off himself.
Start talking about saving some coin, and the old cheese is all ears.

And just so a few people stop spreading false inaccurate information and scaring some new radio users with this info as i have witnessed on the internet..
I have contacted the ACMA by phone and have been told that both the AUSTRALIAN versions of the Icom IC-400 Pro and Vertex VX-2200 are in fact "Type approved" now for UHF CB band PROVIDED they are programmed and LOCKED by an authorized Seller / dealer to UHF CB ONLY and output of 5 watts. No other channels may be present in the radio what so ever apart from the allocated UHF CB lock down programming. Both of these radio units have been tested and passed the A' tick for Australian standards and are now Type approved for CB only in the case of what i have said earlier. If the programming is tampered with or edited afterward, the type approval of the stock standard unit itself becomes void..
But anyways, seeing as 90% of people don't really follow the rules anyway, and the ACMA have much much more important cases and things to do than look at us idiots on the CB "majority" not following the exact rules, who really cares but that is the latest right information as inquired about on 2/07/2013.
Thanks.

LOL, last night on CH07 I heard non-licensed Bundy talking over-air about he programming & selling Icoms: "I'll get the bastards up to 25 watts & get back to you Timmy".
