For the record, if a chick is hot, I'll   no worries.

Hahaha  Your like a freaking bear hibernating!!   Thought u died or got married or something since you have not been around.    Funny how im asking about an Air conditioner in this cold weather huh ?   lol     Wanna do a cold run for my laptop benchmark like those other fools did..   One of them has an old unit with the vents up top and he sits the base of the laptop above the vent..        It a much simpler way than the Peltier idea as that would require more work and modding to do which i don't really fancy doing.   Sooo, keep an eye out for an a/c unit with vents up top.    LOL

Reckon you could make something like that,  the amount of work wouldn't be worth it id say,  would be easier just to use a small a/c unit but its cool none the less.    lol

Davo, I reckon Peltier coolers are a bit easier to get going than a compressor based system, although, if you were to find an old "Engel" branded car type fridge, they have a nice compressor based system within, but they usually command stupidly high prices even for cactus ones.

Cooter, thanks for the update regarding car bits, Ill see how I fare tomorrow, in stupid amounts of pain lately, had to take the most amount of painkiller ever last night, so I'm still on another planet at the moment. 

Thanks to your dad too cooter for his kind offer for them there car bits.

Yeah i have to look into this Peltier thing more tbh as they are so simple and easy to use.  Only thing is as i was trying to explain to cooter today,  its kinda hard without the example in front of you though..    The heatsink that cools the chip shares cooling of the other components like the power phase and VRM,s plus the memory and other so if we were to insert the Peltier in between the Chip and heatsink,  it would lift the whole sink up by the thickness of the peltier, in which point it would no longer be making contact with the other components that share the cooling of that sink.  Unless i use peltiers for the whole lot which would = LOTS of peltiers  lol    I think i would need to get a second heatsink and then modify it to make the Peltier sit flat / Flush with the sink surface in order to cool just the chip and all the other crap will be as normal and that way i will still have a standard untouched sink as well when im not stuffing around. 

But anyways,  i will show you more in depth an we can talk about this in more detail soon!
