UFO The Greatest Story Ever Denied

"It looks like an SLR or something" Actually the newer range of digital SLR's have amazing hD video capture. Some dont allow zooming or focus or even apature adjustment during video capture though, kind of dumb, but I see a lot of videos done with the latest Canon 5D Mk3 and they look damn good.  Confusedleepy4:

Of what? These "rods"? Link please.

We know where to find 'em. Come on TB, spend the $30,000 on a 12,500 frames per second video camera and catch those "rods" in crystal clear HD for the world to see.

Within a week you'll be a millionaire from the news coverage, TB coffee cups, TB tea towels, TB t-shirts, TB "I caught 'em" book rights.

You'll be world famous as the guy that finally caught the 'rods'.

Once the 'rods' know the jig is up they'll have no reason to move so fast, then they will slow down and come down the pub for a beer with us.

As you're manager, I'll require 0% profits. This money making tip is free.

Confused2

Providing the police checks are clean, good score for $50, but will 2.5 seconds be enough time to catch those pesky 'rods' on film?

I saw a documentary that reckons the rods are a trick of light. They say its actually grasshoppers and they look like rods because of the "shutter" speed of the usual type of video camera that captures them. Sounds plausible, except when you see them at all angles, distances and lighting conditions. Makes one wonder... Nearly warm enough for Choppers old bones to venture out in my back yard at night with my night shot thingo.

Where'd yer green screen test video go? Broken? I have had a play with chroma key, it works pretty well if the colour you use is not a naturally occurring colour and is well saturated. Ive even got it to work with a muddy looking off white / grey. lol. Im gunna scan about next time Mrs Chopper goes into Soptlight, see if I can pick up some MEGA green or MEGA blue for a screen, I'll grab enough for us both if I find some.  Tears Grab Davodick Cya

Howdy,

Bloody tooth ache, been sleeping non-stop on panadol forte'.

I pulled the bluescreen test vid until I change the .com advertised on it. I keep forgetting to keep both lives separate while online.

Green felt or any material that has little reflection is good. I was using a aqua colored  sheet. A spare indoors wall some where painted green of blue would work jiggy as well.

We need you on bluescreen laying down looking like your  circling a background picture of Uranus chasing those 'rods'.

It's shocking. I got all the tools here to make an easy living from video production, but the ideas aren't coming.

Ow well. I'll have another nanna nap and see what comes to me.

LOL, just watched the below video. I think I'm moving to Russia soon.

Try munching some cloves, does the trick for a toothache. But watch out, I ignored a toothache and woke up one morning with half my face swolen up and in incredible pain and feeling VERY crook. Went to the dentist, he had a go at me for being a dickhead and not coming in sooner yadda yadda, and then I got some pills and crap. Had to get it all sorted out, but worth it in the end.

Anyway, funny you should mention video stuff, I reckon I'm in much the same boat, got cameras, digitising crap etc etc, bought most of it way back when to video the urchins when they were littluns.
I noticed that a coupla my favourite you tubers are making some good cash and all the do is video their day to day stuff like pulling things apart (which I must say I'm pretty good at) and blowing things up with microwave oven transformers and the like (again no problem for me to blow shit up) lol. Check out for example Ed Systems you tube channel, hang on I'll grab a link... http://www.youtube.com/user/Aussie50

Makes one wonder eh? Reckon i might have a crack at it myself, just gotta tidy up the Skunk Works, at the meoment its not fit for humans to be in, LOL

Buggered if I know what the hell it is, but one thing is clear its not a good noise.
