After testing last night, another pole probably isn't going to do shit.
Aerials are already 5+ meters apart..
which works fine within 1km radius.
I had him switch it all around and put the receive on my old pole...
...and the transmit on his good RFI (DaVo's old aerial

) gutter mount that he's been booming out on for years...
...yet more than 1km away and none of us can get INTO it well...
...while it outputs fine to us all on all three aerials he has.
The radios themselves have issues...probably need more power or shielding.
A single bayofang on his gutter RFI receives and transmits fine to us all...
...it's only when two radios together are in the repeater rig, that INWARD receive signals from us...all drops down.
The site is high enough, even at gutter mount height to boom out.
(that's all he's even had all these years while squashing Jack and Bundy on 03)
I'd lend the gear for testing...only takes a few seconds to temp lean it against the building and run the coax inside...
.....then someone goes for a drive more that 5km away...ideally Kirra.
If it works, and only if it works more than 5km away, then only leave it there as a 'community loaner'. I like him, but I don't want him having all our stuff.
Bit stupid having a repeater that only works within a 1km radius when simplex works 10x better. The idea was to reach Kirra, not just Ashmore.
If it doesn't work out, he's still got one pole UPGRADE for simplex use.
If yours doesn't do the trick, I'd give it to

, Dicko, Darren, Dom etc...or worse case store it here until you find a better location for your own use.
I gave you that gear, so ultimately it's your decision
