Frick, fell in love with Gibson Les Paul guitars tonight. (never had one before)
Stopped in at Bull Dogs for a few hours. While there I had a good bash on his LP. (Well built 'Artist' brand copy that looks the same as the one in the video) We both had no idea what the four cluster knobs did on the LP Dom whacked on two amps. Both at the same volume we could hear each other at. Both guitars tuned. LOL, utopia at last. He pulled out his SRV signed CORT single coil Strat and played some chord progressions very well while I twiddled on the Les Paul to figure out the knobs. Fark, the many tonal differences that can be had on a LP have me excited. Pick up section added another level of choice variations. Got home and goggled vids about pick-up, tone and volume knobs on the LP. and this dude hit the nail on the head. All he uses is one amp with all settings on 12 o'clock default, one lead, and one LP....but many fricking cool tone variations without all the add on BS foot pedals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPxI7ySrtvE I found a missing body part I never knew was missing. Gotta get me a Les Paul. I might do an Ivan and offer Bulldog $5 for his LP copy. :russell:
my washburn bass
has 4 control knobsa separate volume for each pickup, a tone control and the forth is a mixer between pickups my mixer control knob failed so I bypassed it - not really needed for me anyway now I just have em all cranked up to 11 and set the tone at the amp this is not mine - mine is not for sale but it looks the same http://reverb.com/item/4960874-washburn-...ring-bass?

Ya mixing pot playing up? Easy stuff ta fix if ya need a hand.
Now days I'm regretting putting toggle switches in my guitars. Better get the soldering iron out soon and re-fit the 5 ways. I emailed Artist guitars last night. (same brand Bulldog has..100 days change of mind free return and full refund and 3 year warranty) They sell from eBay as well. eBay takes at least 10% commission and Paypal take a cut as well. I asked Artist if I could get at least a 10% discount off the $250 if I bought a new LP60 without all the extra crap like tuner, stings, lead, case etc, from their website instead. Got a reply - nah, they'd rather give eBay the extra money. Ow well, I don't need to get out of bed and flog off a few today then. ![]()

nah
works fine without itand with the separate volume controls for each pick-up set I dont see a need for a mixer goes BOOM BADY BOOM nicely however the volume on my gayofang is getting a bit crackly - full of bush dust and :dimmockturd: I assume reckon your magic fix will work on that or should I just throw it at :dimmock: and buy another one?
magic fix?
drown it in wd40 then blow it out with 150psi of air. do the same thing to your radio as well. the aerial socket on me uv-5r is getting loose as well. no point throwing it at :dimmock:, as that would be like throwing something solid into a warm stinky wet green cow dung. :russell:
