yes it has the same plug as that one you have

mine is a tx3200 tuned standard for CB. Its pretty grubby but im pretty sure it works. We can test it before you take it if you want

I have some antenna adapters but depends what kind of antenna you have - otherwise you can buy from jaycar for about $5 Icon_thumright

I will send you my contact details in an email

Maybe we should offer ol' Gary to buy the repeater AS IS and fix her up ourselves.

Just a thought.

Well, I have the cluttered desk, I guess that's a start!

Yeah would be good to run it ourselves  Wood_chop.
I don't have the dollars at the moment though.

It's not over yet.

From Gary's own mouth over-air six years back,
he was given that already established 03-05 site
from the ACMA on the condition
he keeps both 03 and 05 running.

I wish I knew who ran 03 and 05 before Gary.

The last time 03 stuffed up two years
ago (est), I wrote the ACMA and they got
Gary to not only repair 03, but after three years of being off
for some reason he went to the trouble of getting 05 running again.

It wasn't a cheap easy fix from what I heard. (DaVo used to keep in touch with him)
He had to get a crane in and such.

But why bother?

Anyone else on a private site has zero obligation to operate an emergency channel, let alone
a main public chat repeater channel.

If 05 was a moral feel good thing for him, then it wouldn't have been
turned off for over three years.

So why bother with CBRS's at all?

Tax deductions, or conditions of site use?

Both I'd say, as there's no way he'd give the ACMA $1,000 yearly out of love for 03 users.

I'm writing to the ACMA to see what's up with that site.

LOL, ACMA will ask him what happened, and he'll have to
admit he punished a whole society because of one person
asking a time question and referencing section 27 of the radcom act.

If there's still a site obligation, that excuse won't go down well.

I sent Wazza an sms update before as well.

I would possibly be interested in investing some time and effort, maybe a dollar or two into it (not that I have much of any of those things to spare)

but not if it means I will be at least partly responsible for the broadcasting of   :dimmockturd:   and the relentless  "COOOORNNN!!!!!" (or whatever the preferred catchphrase at the time might be).

Without any control over a repeaters content, Im not sure Im willing to become heavily involved in such a venture.....

Its embarrassing enough to admit I listen to and have met some of the people making retarded noises and filthy comments - wouldnt want to admit I own it

That public group in Western Australia have taken control over their repeaters. http://www.nra.org.au/

Fantasizing a bit ...

I might have to start kissing up to my
next door neighbour atop the hill.

My 13 meter mast against his shed, 6db base vertical atop for transmit,
and dipole below pointing south for receive would pick up southerners 249 and Wazza.

There's no one behind me to the north to worry now days.
Yer all mainly in the triangle to me.

Gee, it would be nice squashing  :dimmock: with my old half watt DSE digitor

Wow, two acts of niceness in 24 hours. That's a 30 year first.

Obviously an agenda going on.

Did the  Crab find the  Confusedeven: and his bush ok?
