I was chatting with DaVo and mentioned an antenna setup made by a mate out of bicycle parts used for Earth Moon Earth or 'EME' radio.
Crazy buggers they are, look at the size of it!

Davo, incoming!
Heres a piccie of the blokes radio room, one of 2. Ex broadcast console, and yes its back in operation.
Chappo saw this picture and said "oh yeah that's a blaa blaa console, where'd you get that" ?
I even had a crack at it, I have a piccie of me operating it, but that's not for general consumption
Other radio room, check the coax cables coming through the wall.

Cooter that bloke in the video is cheating, bloody PSK31!
Ive used it on HF, 20 metres or 14MHz, and got 2000 plus kilometres using less than 2 watts on my homemade clothesline wire antenna in my backyard.
Same antenna Ive sent and received full colour pictures to the other side of the planet, Argentina, Mexico and Russia for example.
Still the Moon is a LONG way off and any signal going there and back undergoes a lot of attenuation, would have been nice if he'd got a voice contact and we could hear the delay.
Hmm might have to string my antenna back up in the tree me thinks.

Got it here as well. Thanks lads.
LOL, that daggy VGA monitor and record player makes all that nice gear look out of place.
They probably have old Benny Goodman vinyls on while DX'ing.

Beautiful, nothin' wrong with old record players and VGA monitors with tubes in 'em.

Besides, I took those photos around 10 years ago.

"SING, SING, SING" BY BENNY GOODMAN
Who's Benny? A famous Jewish guy that should be played in every HAM shack while DX'ing
