Holy Smokes 7km to the exchange on adsl 2 Yowzers!!!!!    No wonder its a little shitty.    Not much you can do at that location really,  unless you got direct Wireless from the towers but those plans are small usage and dangerously expensive.      Sad5

Be careful running any of the "system care" type products.

Make sure you have system restore turned on and create a restore point before running it.

I have had occasions where they clean out the registry and the like and then strange things happen from then on like some parts of programs not working.

I use CCleaner from time to time, no troubles with it, so far anyway  Debilos-1

Don't buy it, just download free version here https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Been using Crap Cleaner (it's full real name) for over 7 years as well.  Icon_thumright

I usually check download.com to see what folks say is cool.

'Advanced System Care' has good reviews. I've used it for about 5 years without any issues.

Just ran it through the quad and have the boot down to 4mins...shit..I is getting old waiting for XP  Grandpa

I might have to put Puppy Linux in it  Grommit

LOL, just reading the bloody so called government has pissed off China in the last few days over border protections, and some turds in Indonesia are seeking to increase Corby's jail term over the phone hacking scandal.

That's a huge difference in boot speed!

A BIOS update eh? Cool, but rather nerdy  Sign10

Yes the SSDs are nice, I got one for Xmas last year, beautiful. Makes a BIG difference to the "feel" of the computer too, might have to get one for my poor old laptop, its rather sluggish with its primate mechanical hard disk drive  Debilos-1

Just figured out the delay was due to a 1TB hard drive in a removal rack. (in case of fire, I could quickly save at least one drive)

The rack wasnt passing info onto the MB, so the rack is now in the bin and the HD plugged straight into the MB.

Although the BIOS was 2 years out of date anyways.

Back to fast again...even faster than fags on  Jetski

I have had troubles with various hard drive removable racks over the years. Usually when people upgrade and the rack isn't up to the new standard of interface specs etc.

I still use a few old reject ex customer ones here and there, last time it was in a Pentium 100 game server, each game was on a different hard disk with a fresh install of Windows 98. Games like Quake, Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament, made good use of the dunnyloads of small old hard disks I have. I mean what else is a 200 mega byte hard disk good for?

Hmm, might have to dig that box out and see if it still works, its been carted to countless LAN parties over the years and was rather reliable too.

I should have several customised game servers setup on it just how I liked them.

The rack I was using was OK, but I bumped the rear sata data connector cracking part of it off.

Glue worked for a while, but it's binned now. I'll get another one, as it's good in case of emergency to rip me main backup drive out.

Sign10 game server??? Pacman and Space Invaders for multi  Chicken players?

Hell yeah SSD,s foookin rule!!  You won't know what to do with all that speed on an SSD Cooter.  I only run SSD,s now,  in my sicko Laptop an Intel 512gb for games and an Intel 250gb for system..  Your getting close now Cooter to my boot time just get an SSD and you might be there.  I Push the On button and 5 seconds later its in windows.    Debilos-1  LOOOOL

on another note,  i have this Sony Vaio laptop here that has been giving me the shits lately,  it keeps blue screen of deathing me lately and i don't know what is up.  So im gonna do a re format and see if that fixes it if not then its a hardware issue and im gonna throw it in your bin Cooter..    Its a Gen 2 core i7 Quad with 8gb ddr3  Wooooooooooooooo just imagine that Cooter you could put Linux on it and boot in 2 seconds..  Will keep you posted on this pile of shit.  Davodick  LMAO
