I just read the Grevis sms from the 26th December.

Merry Christmas to you, ABC03 was a free service and was subject to my time availability to effect repairs it was clear that the users were not happy with the time frame that I gave to do the repairs as I work away, It is best to find another licensee to meet your quality of service demands for free. All I can suggest if its free accept what you get and don't carry on like you are a high paying client that demands Q os S. Everyone has to accept there (sic) actions. Have a safe New Year.

He's twisting the situation - all I ever asked of him in the first three polite sms messages,
was for an estimated time of repair. (it was already broken for two weeks before I first contacted him)

Fourth sms I reminded him of the ACMA's "continuous use" rule. That sms set him off.

If it was going to be an extra month or more, then FINE...I would have dropped my 13m mast
and put a vertical up for simplex use during the interim.

If he had of said a week or two, then I would have left the mast up with the 16 element yagi on.

My mast is a prick of a thing to get up and down. (ask DaVo)

It would have been my luck, that if I dropped it and put a vertical up, then a day or two later
Grevis would have gone up and fixed the repeater.

I NEVER demanded he get his ass up there and fix the bloody thing.

Anyway Gary (I sent him this link), that night on ABC03 when you and I spoke about "grey matter"
and such at length, you told us all that the ACMA gave you that per-existing North Rd site on the condition
that you kept the existing 03 and 05 public repeaters running.

That's were our 'demanding' attitude comes from....from information that came out of your own mouth.

I'll write to the ACMA and find out if those conditions of site use still stand.
