It looks like there is more than one version of the KL450 each with a different designed band from 335 to 520MHz, from versions A to F.
You'd probably also need a set of cavity filters to use it as a serious repeater as well. Not cheap.
Although you could use 2 verticals stacked one the one mast or separated by a fair distance.
As to how hard it is to convert one from a band close to 476Mhz, I have no idea as ive never seen one before but at $30 its worth the bits inside alone
