not sure your baofeng idea will work with a lead plugged in.
If you set the vox you should be able to have the speaker of 33 facing the mic of 3.
I reckon that will work, but you will need to separate the antennas.
I have a spare little twangy wire antenna and a speaker mic if you want to try it
