I was going though the gallery last night and stumbled
onto some of chucky's last Moxon photos
![[Image: moxon_connect_01.jpg]](http://www.goldcoastcb.com/images/moxon_connect_01.jpg)
Close up of where the coax joins - gap has to be 5mm
Coax connect points don't matter much just
as long as there's a good connection.
Looks like he used rivets here.
![[Image: moxon_connect_03.jpg]](http://www.goldcoastcb.com/images/moxon_connect_03.jpg)
Wider view - alloy frame with plastic cutting board cut into strips screwed in on the inside
diameter look to be all that's holding it together firmly.
![[Image: moxon_connect_02.jpg]](http://www.goldcoastcb.com/images/moxon_connect_02.jpg)
Notice this alloy frame one is mounted different.
All the radiation is pointing upward.
The PVC pipe would have to held, or mounted horizontally to a mast.
Total cost would be well under $10
Build time about 30 minutes and three beers.
As long as the sizes are the same, SWR is real good on CB
