Yeah would be good to run it ourselves
.
I don't have the dollars at the moment though.
It's not over yet.
From Gary's own mouth over-air six years back,
he was given that already established 03-05 site
from the ACMA on the condition
he keeps both 03 and 05 running.
I wish I knew who ran 03 and 05 before Gary.
The last time 03 stuffed up two years
ago (est), I wrote the ACMA and they got
Gary to not only repair 03, but after three years of being off
for some reason he went to the trouble of getting 05 running again.
It wasn't a cheap easy fix from what I heard. (DaVo used to keep in touch with him)
He had to get a crane in and such.
But why bother?
Anyone else on a private site has zero obligation to operate an emergency channel, let alone
a main public chat repeater channel.
If 05 was a moral feel good thing for him, then it wouldn't have been
turned off for over three years.
So why bother with CBRS's at all?
Tax deductions, or conditions of site use?
Both I'd say, as there's no way he'd give the ACMA $1,000 yearly out of love for 03 users.
I'm writing to the ACMA to see what's up with that site.
LOL, ACMA will ask him what happened, and he'll have to
admit he punished a whole society because of one person
asking a time question and referencing section 27 of the radcom act.
If there's still a site obligation, that excuse won't go down well.
I sent Wazza an sms update before as well.
