Oops! I saw the pics in a waiting room on tiny mobile phone screen, scrolled down to & zoomed in on text @ the end...didn't see text between pics. :-)
Bit hard to tell from pics if its male or female coz cant see much of tail.
Female kookies have spotted tail (or spangled as birdwatching pros call it) - males have a solid colored tail. Can be hard to tell as they adapt their colors to surroundings.
Females are larger than males. (fully grown)
What makes it even harder to distinguish males from females is kookies very family orientated - breeding couples pair for life and bith male & female take turns sitting on eggs. The siblings hang around to help raise new young. (ie siblings regurgitate food for their new brothers/sisters)
What you saw (kookie feeding another kookie) could have been mum or dad feeding baby or sibling feeding his bro/sis.
No didnt Google them, they're the same laughing kookies as in Victoria & know them well. :-)
Careful feeding them exotic foods like steak, you might wind up with a feathered alarm clock. Kookies known for pecking on windows or walls of house @ sunrise looking for something they can't find in nature.
They'll gobble down snails, mice, snakes & other pests in your garden & really like a treat of fish or shellfish. (they're related to kingfishers)
Oh, Number 7 - pretty sure they don't have a shlong but a glory hole/pollen sack type arrangement like budgies as Bulldog pointed out a while ago. :-)
