That's the sort bargain I wish was around when I was younger. The thought of a neat soldering iron for that price!
I still have the "soldering irons" my grandfather lovingly bought me when I was a youngun' about 10 years old.
They consist of a pyramid shaped lump of copper on a rod with a wooden handle, you bung 'em in the fire or on the stove element, which of course is what I did much to my mum's disgust.
The term "plumbers iron" doesn't do them justice
My parents then bought me an aussie made Scope iron and transformer, still have that too. Cost MUCH more than that Aldi iron though, so had to be bought in 2 parts the iron first as a birthday pressie, which I couldn't actually use until my chrissie pressie the transformer came along
And yes I know about the German jets, Hitler didn't want to use them, probably just as well, but the Spitfire WON the Battle of Britain, besides cooter all sides of every war do unspeakable acts. its the nature of humans and war, sad but true, lucky not all of us are warlike dummies.

Well, I have the cluttered desk, I guess that's a start!
