Yeah, its Gel coat Black and has sparkle like pearl in the paint that changes colour in the sun.        lol

Copy Chopper!  With my super duper Alienware M18x R2 it comes with a 19.5v 330w AC power adaptor charger pack (psu)    The system when pushed and overclocked the max for benching score purposes it needs a tad more,  like maybe 350w..    Is there any way to get this ?  Clevo had a 300w power brick and a gizmo where you could buy a second power brick and run the two 300w power bricks in parallel to give you extra juice but Neighbour doesn't seem to think that would work.  Im not sure what they use in the gizmo circuit but it has entry for two 300w power bricks and then goes into one that runs to laptop power port..  I can't find any 19.5v ac adapters that are 400w or around there,  don't think they make them..    Any ideas on how i could get more current out ???

Jebus H Cripers 350 Watts for a laptop!! I cant say Ive seen a laptop PSU with that kind of output myself.

You can parallel power supplies up, but you have to make sure that they are identical in output voltage otherwise one might try and 'power' the other with unpleasant consequences.

For example, I have a Lab power supply on my workbench that has 2 independant 30 volt 3 amp sections, and I can indeed parallel connect them to get 6 amps at up to 30 volts, or seies connect them to get 60 volts at up to 3 amps. I just have to make sure that both 'sides' are set at the same voltage, if I get it wrong, then there is a circulating current that just makes heat.

Hmm, I might have to think ab bit further on this for ya, my son has a Dell XPS and knows all about the current Dell / Alienware computer stuff so I'll get in his ear and get back to ya.

Oi chopper here is what you can buy direct from Clevo because some people that had the top end system with the single 300w power brick were having problems with shutting down due to insufficient current power,   so this was available for those people..   These are 20v - 15A - 300w power bricks and that gizmo allows you to combine them ??  

Id buy that but 1.  plugs are different for laptop socket,   2. I need 19.5v not 20v       ???

Couldn't you make something like that so i could run 2 Dell bricks like that instead of the 2 Clevo bricks ??

Hmm, I just had a look at those Clevo doodads. 20 volts is not a worry, close enough to 19.5 volts, and besides, once inside the laptop the 19 odd volts gets converted to all sorts of voltages to be used inside the thing, nothing actually uses the raw 19 odd volts anyway. The output plug of that doodad could be changed to one to suit a Dell, thats not really a problem. I'd like to see if there is anything inside that adaptor box that attempts to balance the power supplies up so to speak. I MIGHT actually only be a box to hide the parallel wired outputs to make the setup neater. If one was to use 2 identical pSU bricks, I cant see there being a problem, but the proof would be in the testing I suspect.

Aww yeah cool.   yeah well,  maybe i should get one of those boxes and we can dissect it..    lol      yeah no probs!    Mmmm yummy!   Samsung 830 series SSD noice!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I run one of them also.          

Hmm,  the one that comes with the system is a 330w 19.5v..  I found a 350w 20v one that is the biggest i can find anywhere and that may give me that little extra and might be enough..  hmm    :S
