Tonight salesman Jack (real name David Gary Dimmock) suggested I should buy a "Mac" from Dicksmith

The workers that make the Mac's get paid so little that they commit suicide by jumping off tall buildings.

Calling all computer nerds  

I don't know why (as I'm not a nerd, but then again I'm always near a computer) or how (either watch TV or put up with manchild Dimmock on CB),
but I just watched 11 episodes back to back (feeling tied) of this new nerd period drama called "Halt and Catch Fire" (HCF)

Stupid name, but I was drawn in from the first episode - so just in case real nerds   haven't seen it yet.

Show is based on getting this lump of crap worth fifty cents in scrap today, into production back in 1984
