Got one of these... I got this off that poof mate of DaVo's called DeaNo a while back  



...and one of these that came from the tip shop with a 45 amp 13.7v alternator on it...



...and one of these that came from there as well. 3 horse power Briggs and Stratton, and runs sweet. Parts are easy to get, unlike those Super Cheap Auto petrol generators from China.



Slap it all together, and look what I made today.

Well that concludes part 01.

PART TWO: Some sort of shelf above the battery to place a USB holder and my 800 watt 12 to 240 inverter.

Crickey, and an 80 watt solar panel has to go on it somewhere as well. Maybe some headlights?

Ow, and the wood gas bloody heater...shit, not much room...but it's a project I gotta do.

Maybe just a BBQ gas bottle..not sure yet.

Nah not yet. It would run one of those 1/4 watt Kenwoods OK though.  

I'd just get a super cheap auto 4KVA sucker, but when the engine stops, so does the power.

Most of that shits been laying around doing squat for over 5 years.

Solar storms are serous though. Once every 75 years NASA say.

It's been 90 years since the last one.

As far as I know, Australia hasnt spent the money readying the infrastructure for solar storms.

I know for a fact that America hasn't. Shit = no power = no internet, and the list goes on and on.

Nuclear power stations will be forced onto back up power to cool reactors...and on and on.

Arrrhh, but I got my 3HP DSE hand held chargers.

Although, the hand held has a chip in it that would fry as well.

You gotta get yourself some batteries and store them away like water bottles, charge em up with the sun, assuming the sun is currently behaving itself! I have been collecting deep cylcle batteries for a while, but I foget to keep 'em charged so they screw up, going to make me a desulfator when I next go into the skunkworks. Got a cheapo gennie off e-bay not working, fixed her up with an old cappie out of a washing machine, works great now, 1200 watts and 4 stroke, not one of those Chinese 2 stroke crap things  :mumum: my collection of radios, along with my other 'necessary' technology, like computers, the fridge, and the tellie will now work off line. Oh and ages back I bought 2 Jaycar pure sinewave 2500 watt invertors too, bought 2 so I could make 1 out of the 2, got 'em for 20 bucks assumed not working as they are customer returns, but as always there is the ID 10 T error, so they probably work
