Ya missed out on a Yamaha Receiver., ![]() Bloody endeavor foundation. ![]() None of the good looking ever make it to the shops either. Me and DaVo are going under cover as volunteers ta short them out

Re: Forum Chat - King_DaVo - 27-05-2014 Ebay got hacked, and there are a group of Hackers out there now that are hacking control of Ipad and Iphones currently taking them over and then asking for $$ to release them. Funny i just got this game today called "watchdogs" and its the same thing but more extreme! lol Watch Dogs Story Trailer + Release date announced New 2014 Trailer

I call them CLD's (cattle locating devices) I've got a Samsung Galaxy Y here that I just wont turn on unless I need a laugh ![]() At least it's got the luxury of easy battery removal. Cant do that with an iPhone. Why would anyone want to remove the battery? http://news.cnet.com/2100-1029-6140191.html Android is Google, and Google is fricking evil! ![]() Re: Forum Chat - cOOter - 27-05-2014 Chopper copy!!! How hard would it be to join two 8030's into a two aerial repeater config? I have the radios. I'm brain storming in case Grevis leaves town.
Re: Forum Chat - cOOter - 27-05-2014 Quick DaVo..it's free and ready to transport. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/oxenford/desks/free-timber-table/1047672811 Re: Forum Chat - Thunderbird - 27-05-2014 (27-05-2014, 06:20 PM)cOOter link Wrote: Chopper copy!!! Not hard to wire 2 of the 8030s back to back to make a repeater, in fact I have 2 wired back to back in the shed, but they are on ham bands. Those radios seem to have an accessory port on the back with the needed signals right on it, a couple of extra bits and its done, that's the easy part. There are 2 common ways of setting up such a thing, the cheap and easy way is to mount 1 antenna above the other on the same mast using verticals, the further apart the better, the idea is to try and keep the transmitter from making the receiver deaf. Even though they are on different frequencies the frequencies are close enough together to cause desensing of the receiver. I've seen people have the 2 antennas on 2 masts spaced as far as practical apart physically as well. The other and expensive way is to use a diplexer usually with cavity filters. Ive seen them around on ebay and at hamfests, but unless they are already on your frequencies, they can be a bugger to tune. You really need some good test gear like a decent spectrum analyser and calibrated RF sig gen etc. The hard part is getting such a thing licenced as well, and also finding a good spot to place it. Also what power supply are you going to use is a consideration. Id have to check the regulations, but I'm pretty sure you have to be able to remotely, assuming you are not right near the repeater, shut it down if it goes berko as well. And I think you need a timeout feature. As I say, its been awhile since I've looked at the regs.. Happy to help where I can though, sounds like a fun project. ![]() Damn, forgot, it has to identify via voice or morse code at least every 10 minutes as well, not hard to make up an Arduino to do that though... Re: Forum Chat - cOOter - 28-05-2014 That easy, huh. Cool'o
Re: Forum Chat - cOOter - 31-05-2014 "DRIVE HARD" Synopsis: A former race car driver turned driver's training instructor is abducted by a mysterious thief (John Cusack) and forced to be the wheel-man for a crime that puts both in the sights of the cops and the mob and leads them all on a chase across Australia's Gold Coast. http://putlocker.bz/watch-drive-hard-online-free-putlocker.html I'm only 20 minutes in. If it were filmed anywhere else I probably would have turned off by now.
Re: Forum Chat - cOOter - 06-06-2014 Haven't been getting 03 at all the last few days. Down link's on but still at half output. Input's been off for a few days. Garry's running out of time. He told me a few years back, that the ACMA let him use that site on the proviso that he kept the existing 03 and 05 CBRS repeaters running. (he makes money from commercial clients he has on the same pole) Might have to kick Garry out, and we move in.
