Yeah Cooter, have a watch of this vid as this is what i have to do. I don't think the screen has to come off.. Just gotta be careful taking the ribbon cables off too they break easy! lol basically, the whole top of the notebook has to come off so i can access the CPU.. Watch from 18:30 onwards is where i need to be.. you can then see the parts naked.

Yeah cool, will do. Im just waiting for a beefier heatsink that's needed for the extreme CPU going in.. This machine here is easy as i already re did the thermal compound today, Alienware is a little more of a pain in the arse. We will just use your big table with a towel over it and get stuck into it!! LOL Ill let you know when the part arrives..

Laptop swap project this week id say, should have all the bits to get on it..

Is that turbo off a Cat D9?! Its a big bugger. That intercooler looks like the radiator out of the same D9 you knicked the turbo from.
