Re: Forum Chat - cOOter - 05-12-2015 How much MDF do ya need? I'll pick some up with the bubble trailer
Re: Forum Chat - Thunderbird - 06-12-2015 Well as it turns out, when I was scratching around in my shed, I found an old 120 watt guitar amp and then remembered years ago I made a "bass barrel" subwoofer. I reckon if I can find the barrel it'll sound pretty good. More hunting around required me thinks. ![]() I measured the Roland speaker after I dug it out from its hidey hole and its a weird size, its more a 15 inch one. Would need a pretty large box to house it, maybe a W Bin like the ones drunks stick their heads in a rock concerts. ![]() Hopefully Ill find the bass barrel and Ill try it out later on. Stand by for some boombaddy boom
Re: Forum Chat - Thunderbird - 06-12-2015 Bass barrel located! Now I just have to get into the shed, dust off the amp and barrel and make sure they both still work. Amp hasn't been used since the 1980's! Used to belong to a mate that was in a band in the late 70s into the 80s, I have an equaliser he used as well, SOMEWHERE ![]() And the barrel I used in my early home theatre setup in the early 1990s, gees. Stand by for boombada boom update.
Chess Wreckers - cOOter - 13-12-2015 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRGn9AY0ysA Today Youtube sent an email suggesting videos I might like.. Apparently I'd like to watch dick heads (especially the ones on 2 strokes) risking their body parts while trying the impossible. Bloody funny to watch though - sadly then again, all Christopher Reeve did was fall of a horse. ![]() Last night I watched WAR-GAMES Between the two videos, I think there's an idea for a booming business. Follow dick heads around that seek the impossible; buy their trashed bikes for scrap, and open a motorcycle wreckers with an adjoining wheel chair access chess cafe'.
Choppers Steampunk Band - Thunderbird - 14-12-2015 Wanna join Choppers Steampunk Band? ![]() Youll need a copper and steel guitar. And an amp with big vacuum bottles in it. ![]()
Re: Forum Chat - cOOter - 14-12-2015 Just spent 5 minutes on their site ![]() and I still don't know what a SteamPunk is. Reggae band?
Bass Strings - cOOter - 14-12-2015 Number 7, copy!! Here's the ELIXIR strings I was yaking about - you wont get blisters with them and they sound like new even after a year of playing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PVlqwaGNa0 The official ELIXIR video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LndOAj0pKhI Regular dude's review after one year of the ELIXIR's on his bass. I have them on my four guitars and wouldn't use anything else.
Yagi Hunter - cOOter - 16-12-2015 Couple of these turned up today. One for the Bro's Christmas present and the other for me. Mine's going to get a lot of air-time at Robina with a camera going straight up looking for yagi aerials ![]() Geez, this guy makes them look easy to fly - I'm still on the basic "headless mode". Three flights so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2RTYwpeuk4#t=21 Re: Forum Chat - Thunderbird - 16-12-2015 Cool You get a model with a camera? Send me a link, I might have to get one after Xmas to keep me amused.
Re: Forum Chat - cOOter - 16-12-2015 No camera for $39, but I have a #12 808 keychain camera coming that is light and works well on these. Aldi had similar last week for $99 with a crud camera, but I went the ebay route instead, as these FY326 are easy to get parts for and reviews are good. As per the video info, the FY326 are a clone of a more expensive and popular version. As per the video, the dude likes the Fy326 better - 150 meter range ![]() The site called GearBest look cheaper than eBay but they don't have any white ones left. (black are hard to see the direction leds during the day time thus not so popular) I have this page open in another tab atm and are ordering spare batteries etc.. http://www.gearbest.com/fy326-_gear/?utm_source=shareasale&utm_medium=shareasale&utm_campaign=shareasale The pair I got off ebay were from NSW - three days ta get here... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111784492193?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ![]() |
